Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Includes weekend and holiday rotations
Location: Charleston South Carolina
Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative nursing care in our OB Operating Room. In this role, you will apply professional nursing theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards and the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerioperative Care: Provide direct nursing care in the OB Operating Room, prioritizing patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
Surgical Roles: Function as a Circulating Nurse for OB surgical procedures (e.g., C-sections). Serve as a Scrub Nurse as needed.
Assessment & Planning: Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, cognitive, and spiritual). Develop, evaluate, and adjust individualized care plans.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgical teams, and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate smooth patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Patient Advocacy & Education: Advocate for patient rights, address learning needs for patients and their families, and uphold non-judgmental, ethical care standards.
Experience:
Operating Room Circulating experience ( Required)
OB OR / Scrub experience ( Highly Preferred)
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or a valid Compact/Multistate RN license.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (NRP preferred for OB specialty).
Clinical Competency: Strong foundational knowledge of surgical sterile fields, patient assessment, and quality/safety protocols.
