A Brief Overview
The LPN participates in the provision of nursing care by performing specific activities and technical procedures as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
What you will do
- Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs
- Interviewing patients and recording their medical history
- Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms
- Administering injections of medications
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Observing and recording patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
Education Qualifications
- Diploma as a Practical Nurse
Experience Qualifications
- Clinical LPN experience Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
- Epic experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support Certified
- American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required - Licensed Practical Nurse
- South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
