License:
South Carolina RN License required prior to start.

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have:
Ability to perform pre and post-anesthesia care, strong knowledge of normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.

Description:

Perform a minimum of 2-3 patient visits per day. This role is responsible for both pre and post-anesthesia care of special cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional catheter procedures. Care is provided to patients ranging from neonates to geriatric congenital cardiac patients, as well as for sedated studies, clinic visits, and cardiac surgical workups. Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.

This position reports to a manager in pediatric interventional cardiology and imaging. Staff members stay until the last patient is either discharged or admitted. It is rare for staff to be on duty past 19:00. No weekend coverage is required. No on-call duties are required. First-time travelers are accepted. Preference is given to candidates with procedural or pediatric ICU experience.

The schedule is self-scheduled with team input, and the manager finalizes the schedule to ensure even coverage of shifts. A minimum of 2 Monday and 2 Friday shifts per month is required. Candidates must include all requested time off at the time of submission. All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during severe weather events. Candidates should be aware of possible emergency response duties during hurricane season.

Candidates must complete all required compliance and lab work as part of the hiring process.
