Registered Nurse – PACU

PACU Registered Nurse

The PACU Registered Nurse will provide specialized postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role ensures patient safety, monitors vital signs, and manages immediate post-surgical needs to facilitate smooth recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and monitor vital signs continuously during recovery.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and physicians to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care instructions.
• Document patient status, interventions, and progress accurately in medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient condition during recovery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid SC RN license or multi-state/compact RN license in hand at start.
• Possess at least 1 year of travel or clinical nursing experience, excluding first-timers.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• Experience caring for postoperative or PACU patients is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and communication skills.
