Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Ambulatory Or Rn Position

Seeking an experienced Ambulatory OR RN to provide specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment. The role involves preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical histories, reconciling medications, and obtaining vital signs.
• Start IVs, administer premedications, and manage fluids and antibiotics as ordered.
• Monitor patient vital signs and recovery status during post-anesthesia care, ensuring safety and stability.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to deliver safe, efficient patient care.
• Assist in patient discharge procedures, including educating patients on post-op instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, radiation, and licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current South Carolina RN license with a Compact or SC state license in hand.
• BLS certification required; radiation badge provided by the employer.
• A minimum of 1 year of OR, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints, or related specialty experience.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, multidisciplinary surgical setting.
• Flexibility to float within perioperative scope within facility needs.
