Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Operating Room RN Opportunity

The OR RN will provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy level-one trauma center’s operating room, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties. The role involves circulating and scrub responsibilities in a fast-paced, trauma and transplant-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer perioperative nursing care to surgical patients throughout all phases of surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments, equipment, and supplies for various procedures.
• Document patient care and surgical details accurately within electronic health records.
• Float within scope to meet unit and facility needs, supporting multiple surgical units.
• Respond to on-call and emergency situations, including trauma and transplant cases.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Have at least 2 years of recent OR experience, including scrub skills.
• Possess BLS certification;
  Radiation Badge preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in circulating and scrub role.
• Ability to work flexible, 3x12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
• Be willing to float within scope and adapt to various surgical specialties.
