Registered Nurse – Operating Room

$1933.92/week –

Job Summary:

The OR R Nurse is responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures. This role demands skilled clinical assessment, preparation, and support of patients before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for various surgeries.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any intraoperative changes promptly.
• Assist surgeons and surgical technologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including holidays and weekends, and float within scope as needed.

  Qualifications:

• Possess a valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Hold BLS certification;
  Radiation badge preferred or obtainable via agency.
• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative or scrub experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate competency in scrub and circulating roles in various surgical specialties.
• Able to work flexible hours, including 3x12s shifts, with on-call availability.
• Experience working in a trauma level I facility is highly desirable.
