The Mount Pleasant Health Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Services team.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health by delivering culturally competent, client-centered care across Family Planning, STD/HIV Services, and Immunizations. In addition to supporting clients in Mount Pleasant, this role also provides assistance as needed to other area health departments, including the Charleston County Health Department. The Clinic RN delivers comprehensive nursing care through assessment, treatment, education, counseling, and referral.

This role supports public health goals by promoting wellness, prevention, and vaccine safety while upholding agency values, policies, and medical orders to ensure efficient, confidential, and high-quality service delivery within Charleston County and surrounding areas.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Licensure as a registered nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina. Some positions require certification in Basic Life Support. Some positions may require possession of a valid driver's license.

Must hold an active South Carolina nursing license in good standing, or a valid multistate license in good standing from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) participating state.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of nursing experience is preferred.
