Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive medical-surgical care on a busy 36-hour per week night shift schedule. The role involves managing a mixed patient population in a Level I Trauma Center, ensuring quality care and adherence to hospital standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop personalized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly in the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Comply with safety protocols, infection control, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current South Carolina RN license or multi-state/compact licensure.
• Possess at least 1 year of relevant medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Be certified in BLS; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting system and acute patient management.
• Capable of floating within scope to meet facility needs.
• Willing to work 3x12 night shifts and rotating weekends.
