This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
3x12-Hour shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week. Requires every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Description:
The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN will provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients across various units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU. As a float pool nurse, you will be responsible for adapting to the needs of different units while delivering exceptional critical care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and evidence-based care in pediatric critical care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide education, support, and emotional care to patients and their families.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning discussions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric ICU.
- South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only).
- Experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred, but not required.
