American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I trauma center offering 13-week assignments with a preference for candidates with scrub experience.

• Work in the Main Operating Room of a Level I academic trauma center with 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• Nursing team is trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 6:30am to 7:00pm, working Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and between like units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Level I trauma center experience required
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

• Work within a Magnet-designated, nurse-driven department that provides cutting-edge surgical technology
• Nursing team consists of approximately 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis, though non-local candidates are prioritized
• During hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
