American Traveler is seeking an OR RN for a night shift position in a Level I trauma, academic Magnet hospital, requiring SC or Compact RN license and scrub/circulate experience.

• Main Operating Room within a Level I academic trauma center with 21 OR suites
• Covers all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• Nursing team consists of 75% RNs and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists
• RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• No on-call requirement
• Up to one working weekend shift per 4-week schedule period
• Required to work at least one holiday period (Christmas or New Year's)
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience strongly preferred
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Social Security number required for consideration

• Level I Trauma Center, academic teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital
• Nurse-driven department providing cutting-edge surgical technology
• 820 total staffed beds
• Scrubs provided by facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is dependent on unit needs
• Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized for this position
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
