Acute care hospital PACU/ASU travel assignment
- Provide direct patient care to post-anesthesia patients in PACU/ASU, aligning with recovery goals
- Monitor vitals, oxygenation, pain, and airway status; respond to hemodynamic changes
- Administer medications and techniques per physician orders; collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams
- Perform recovery assessments, apply PACU scoring criteria, and facilitate safe transfers to post-anesthesia units or discharge
- Document patient status, interventions, and care plans in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and effective communication with patients and families
- Current RN license in the state of Maine
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ASU/PACU or Critical Care experience
- Ability to work rotating day shifts with weekend call rotation in a hospital PACU/ASU setting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment in a fast-paced recovery area
- Guaranteed hours
