American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Oncology RN to join a Level I Trauma Center's teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of chemotherapy administration and pediatric oncology experience.

• Pediatric Oncology/Infusion Clinic unit within a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Float between two departments based on facility needs, within scope
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and APHON certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior experience in Pediatric Oncology and Med Surg required
• Experience monitoring and administering chemotherapy required
• Skills required:
  
  IV therapy/phlebotomy, administration of blood and blood products, central line and port care, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with symptom management, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, medication administration including emergency medications, and pediatric dosage calculations required
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Driver's license and Social Security number required for consideration

• Provide direct pediatric oncology nursing care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Solid Royal Blue or White scrub top with Royal Blue bottoms required for all RNs
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for manager review and approval
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
