Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic position requiring BLS certification and SC or compact RN licensure.

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required in hand prior to start
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Ambulatory clinic experience preferred
• GI Surgery or surgical experience desired
• Social Security Number required for consideration

• Work in the GI Surgery Bariatric Clinic of an outpatient clinic setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Possible float to like units within the same location, including GI Medicine and H&V
• EPIC EMR preferred
• Provide nursing care within a teaching hospital, Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma facility
• Turquoise scrub color required
• During hurricane season (June through November, peaking August-September), employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Complete non-billable training modules, averaging 4 hours, prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration for approval based on facility needs
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius for full travel rate consideration
