St. Andrew's Family Fitness Plus, a subdivision of St. Andrew's Parks and Playground, is searching for a Mermaid Camp Counselor
. The ideal teammate is passionate about empowering others and is excited to be part of a team that has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 80 years!

St. Andrew's Parks and Playground Summer Camps are a magical place where imagination comes to life! Our Wonder-Water Mermaid (& Merman) Camp offers children ages 8 - 14 a whimsical, water-based experience combining fantasy, fitness, and fun.

• Teach children to swim using their tails.
• Foster conversations about ocean conservation and environmentalism rew's Family Fitness and the South Carolina Aquarium.
• Assist with set‑up and clean‑up before and after camp sessions.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging camp environment.

Wonder-Water Mermaid Camp runs for four weeks this summer with sessions from Monday through Friday.

• June 8 - 12, 2026
• June 22 - 26, 2026
• July 6 - 10, 2026
• July 20 - 24, 2026

Camp counselors' official hours: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., with extra time for set‑up and clean‑up prior to the 9:00 a.m. sessions.

Position Title: Mermaid Camp Counselor

Division/Department: Family Fitness Plus / Aquatics

Reports To: Aquatics Safety Coordinator

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Benefits: Full family membership to the fitness center;
Medical Care Membership available with low ($70) monthly premiums.
