Job Description Summary

The candidate will provide integral clinical, research, and managerial support to principal investigators conducting NIH-funded smoking cessation, depression treatment, and cancer survivorship projects. Additional ongoing projects center around development of innovative methods to improve the feasibility and rigor of remote/decentralized trials.

• Develops new research projects and submits submits career development and/or exploratory/developmental research grants (e.g., F32, K23, R21) according to concepts agreed upon between fellow and principal investigators. New projects may involve secondary data analysis of the investigator data or collection of new data. (30%)
• Leads and contributes to the development, data analysis, writing, and publication of scientific manuscripts involving the principal investigator and other lab members. (25%)
• Quality control and analysis of study data. This includes analyzing data on smoking cessation, depression treatment, and cancer survivorship for use in publications and presentations. (25%)
• Presents research findings internally and externally at nation-level conferences. (5%)
• Oversees the activities of employees, graduate assistants, and others engaged in research or related activities. (5%)
• Advises principal investigators and others on research techniques and procedures. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned. (5%)
