Roundsman

Circa 1886 regularly ranks among the finest restaurants in downtown Charleston. We are currently searching for a PM Line Cook who is ready to take on the role of Roundsman. This position is responsible for filling in on the line for cooks who may be off that particular day. The duties include working a Saute, Grill, Pantry, or Pastry line cook position.

We seek a well-rounded and levelheaded individual who is capable of working these stations with confidence and who is calm under pressure. Circa 1886 is a fine dining restaurant and having a background in this environment is important to this position.

This is a full time position. Circa 1886 values a work/life balance at our restaurant. We are closed on Sundays and Wednesdays, as well as Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant is a requirement.
• Able to successfuly handle a changing environment.
• Passionate about the Culinary Arts and looking to hone their skills to prepare for a management position.
• Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment.
• Certificate and/or degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
• Must have full availability including weekends.
