Convenience Center Site Attendant - Awendaw

Description

Charleston County Environmental Management is looking for a highly motivated, safety‑minded individual who enjoys working outdoors, assisting the public, delivering outstanding customer service and performing a variety of tasks at our convenience centers.

Location

The primary site will be the Awendaw Convenience Center.

• Maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Have at least one year of experience in public/customer service.
• Present a positive attitude when interacting with Charleston County residents.
• Perform physical tasks: reach, push, stand, use hands to handle, grasp, or operate objects/tools or controls; sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; maintain mental acuity, repetitive motion; walk, talk, and hear.
• Work a flexible schedule 7:30 am–6 pm, Monday through Saturday.
• Ensure timely opening and closing of the assigned convenience center.
• Maintain cleanliness of the convenience center and surrounding areas; keep free of debris.

Position requires an 8th‑grade education or equivalent combination of training and work experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Hourly range: $15.00 – $16.96
