Floral Shop Assistant
Are you passionate about flowers? We're looking for an enthusiastic Floral Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in the world of florals. At Keepsakes Florist, we believe in promoting from within. As you gain experience, learn our processes, and demonstrate your skills and dedication, there may be opportunities to advance into a Floral Designer role.
We’re happy to help motivated team members grow their knowledge and develop their floral design skills.
- Assist Floral Designers in preparation for various events
- Learn proper care of flowers and plants
- Learn flower processing & produce management
- Answering phone calls and taking orders
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Assist with inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service and help clients select flowers for special events
- A strong passion for flowers, plants, organization, & cleanliness
- Comfortable working with fresh flowers, plants, water, and other materials
- Willingness to get your hands dirty
- Able to lift and carry floral buckets, boxes, and supplies
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the workday
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in retail is a plus, but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and ready to take on new challenges
