The Role

minnow is seeking an experienced Wholesale Lead to own and scale our wholesale business across the U.S. and select international markets. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for driving revenue, expanding strategic distribution, and deepening relationships with top-tier specialty retailers, boutiques, and hospitality partners.

Operating as both strategist and closer, you will set the wholesale roadmap while actively managing key accounts and opening new doors. This highly visible role reports directly to the executive team and plays a critical part in shaping the brand’s next chapter of growth.

Key Responsibilities Wholesale Strategy & Growth
  • Own minnow’s wholesale revenue target and channel P&L
  • Develop and execute a multi-year wholesale growth strategy aligned with brand positioning
  • Define ideal wholesale partners and manage distribution discipline (where we sell, where we do not)
  • Balance growth with brand protection, margin integrity, and inventory health
Account Management & Sales
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of top-performing wholesale accounts
  • Open new strategic accounts across:
  • Premium regional boutiques
  • Resort retail, hotels, and destination properties
  • Specialty lifestyle and children’s retailers aligned with minnow’s brand
  • Lead sell-in, assortment planning, pricing, and reorder strategy
  • Negotiate terms, programs, and exclusives where appropriate
Market Presence
  • Represent minnow at key trade shows, market weeks, and customer meetings
  • Act as a brand ambassador with retail partners
  • Gather and synthesize market feedback to inform merchandising, pricing, and product development
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with merchandising, planning, operations, and marketing
  • Provide demand forecasts and account-level insights to support inventory planning
  • Collaborate on wholesale-specific marketing, launches, and storytelling
  • Help evolve systems, tools, and processes as the channel scales
Ideal Candidate Profile

This is a senior, director-level role, not an entry- or mid-level position.

  • 8+ years of experience within premium or aspirational consumer brands
  • Wholesale P&L ownership experience
  • Established relationships with specialty boutiques and resort, hotel, and hospitality retail partners
  • Experience with premium lifestyle, apparel or children’s brands strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial instincts with a clear understanding of margin, inventory risk, and channel economics
  • Comfortable operating in a lean, founder-led environment
  • Polished communicator capable of representing the brand at the highest level
