Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Resource Geologist to join our team in Guyana at the Oko West Mine Site.

  • Develop, maintain, and update geological and mineral resource models using drilling, sampling, assay, and geological interpretation data to support resource estimation and mine planning activities.
  • Analyze and validate geological data, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structural information, ensuring data quality and compliance with established QA/QC procedures.
  • Support mineral resource estimation, reconciliation, and reporting activities, working closely with geology, exploration, mine planning, and technical services teams.
  • Prepare geological interpretations, technical reports, maps, cross-sections, and presentations to communicate resource-related findings and support operational and strategic decision-making.
Requirements

Minimum education:

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, and/or relevant experience in the construction mining industry.

Relevant experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in resource geology, mineral resource evaluation, or mine geology for gold mining construction projects.
Additional skills:
Strong knowledge of geological interpretation, resource modelling, geostatistics, and mineral resource estimation principles; proficiency with geological modelling software such as Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, or equivalent; strong analytical and technical reporting skills.

Salary Range e:
Negotiable.

Employment Type:

Temporary contract for the duration of the construction.

Working Hours:

Rotation schedule: 23 of work followed by 19 days off.
