Learn more:  As an Armed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security‑related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication.

You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, and support staff and visitors with customer‑focused service. This role requires an armed guard card/license and offers the chance to represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people‑first mindset.

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following site‑specific, security‑related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and fire or intrusion alarms, and request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.

• Monitor entrances, visitor flow, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items, following post orders and applicable laws and regulations.

• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and activity logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

• Have 1+ Years’ Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.

• Have Security Experience ‑ 1+ Years.

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.

• Be 21+ Years of Age.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
