Location:
Charleston, SC 29401 – Full‑Time/Part‑Time, Salary: $20.00 per hour, Shift: Any. Strategic Security (SSC) is a nationwide provider of security guard services, executive protection, bomb dog, intelligence, consulting, and investigative services.
- Continuous patrols of all parking lot areas, including the rear of the building.
- Incident reporting: observe and immediately report suspicious or criminal activity, and any unauthorized soliciting or literature distribution.
- Customer interaction: refer all customer inquiries or issues to Walmart facility management.
- Professional conduct: maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; wear a uniform at all times.
- Documentation: submit incident reports to Walmart management and check in/out using the facility’s time system.
- Emergency support: assist in emergency situations as directed by management or first responders.
- Restrictions: guards may not chase, block, detain, or restrain any person or vehicle.
- Deterrence of criminal activity through visible patrols and engagement.
- Report suspicious behavior, hazards, and incidents to Walmart management.
- Use Walmart’s time and attendance system to check in/out at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain communication using a company radio and cell phone; respond to emergencies per training.
- Follow Walmart’s safety protocols and withdraw from dangerous situations—contact law enforcement when necessary.
- Engage respectfully with associates, customers, and the public; avoid foul or derogatory language.
- Use force only to disengage from a threat, and immediately contact law enforcement.
- Never detain or pursue individuals; handle customer bans through facility management.
- Uniform must be worn at all times.
- Grooming and attire must be clean, neat, and within company standards.
- Tattoos and jewelry must be non‑offensive and pose no safety risk.
- Force is permitted only to disengage from a threat; report immediately to law enforcement afterward.
- Lethal weapons are prohibited unless carried by qualified law enforcement officers.
- Welcome customers, guests, shoppers, and associates in a warm, gracious manner.
- Engage proactively by scanning for potential threats and developing rapport with customers.
- Stay current with local crime trends, threats, and attractions.
- Identify and warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden items.
- Permit authorized persons to enter and monitor entrances and exits; use handheld wands or magnetometers if required.
- Prevent theft of company property and investigate incidents, maintaining written logs as required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and share information with customers when appropriate.
- Guide customers to destinations or points of interest and answer inquiries with local knowledge.
- Facilitate guest services, including transportation and area attraction inquiries.
- Address customer concerns or complaints, relaying pertinent information to management.
- Keep job site area clean and professional at all times.
- Provide basic first aid and make emergency notifications as needed.
- Perform security patrols on foot or in a vehicle, according to assignment.

- Pass a State licensing test if driving a company‑owned or client‑provided vehicle.
- Pass and possess a State Licensed Unarmed Security Guard Card/License when required by the State/City/Locality.

- U.S. citizen or foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
