Job OverviewThe Start‑Up Technician is responsible for programming automation systems, calibrating equipment, inspecting installations, and performing quality control to guarantee all new pools are fully functional. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of pool equipment and automation.

- Reports To:
Service Manager
- Program automation panels, timers, and heaters.
- Confirm proper installation of temperature sensors, air sensors, and other system components.
- Label and test all plumbing lines, transformers, and breakers for accuracy.
- Verify correct wiring and bonding of pumps, panels, timers, and sanitizers.
- Run all water features, equipment, and lights to check for issues or leaks.
- Perform safety checks and verify that all components are operating as intended.
- Balance pool chemistry according to LSI standards.
- Measure and confirm pool volume for accurate chemical dosing.
- Clean pool decking and surrounding areas after final setup.
- Document the entire process with photos and detailed records.
- Deliver pool equipment to customers, including hoses, nets, and manuals.
- Complete a punch list of final adjustments before handing over the pool.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in pool equipment installation or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work with automation systems and electronic controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
