As a Lead Elevator Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing elevator systems primarily for residential and light commercial clients. This position offers a balance of hands‑on technical work and direct customer interaction, with strong opportunities for long‑term growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on elevator systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Install new elevator systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform after‑hours repairs when required
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns professionally
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training junior technicians
- Conduct system testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Stay current on advancements in elevator technology
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency
- Strong electrical or mechanical background
- Willingness to obtain elevator‑specific certifications (training provided)
- Prior elevator experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Availability for on‑call or after‑hours work as needed
- Ability to read electrical schematics, circuits, and blueprints
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Physically able to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a safe work environment
- Full‑time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week
