Heavy Equipment & Engine Service Technician

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment & Small Engine Technician to support construction equipment maintenance operations in North Charleston, South Carolina. This full-time role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction fleet machinery, small engines, and job site power tools to ensure safe and reliable project operations.

The position requires a balance of shop-based mechanical repair work and field service support across North Charleston project locations. The technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance
, equipment inspection, and performance testing after repairs to confirm operational safety.

• Diagnosis and repair of construction equipment, small engines, and powered job site machinery
• Hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and ignition system troubleshooting for operational efficiency
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and scheduled equipment inspections
• Conduct post-repair testing to verify equipment reliability and safety standards
• Maintain digital maintenance logs, service records, and inspection reports
• Support equipment staging, deployment preparation, and service response across project sites
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and workplace safety guidelines during all maintenance activities

• Valid driver's license required; CDL certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in mechanical repair, field service work, or construction equipment maintenance preferred
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently in both shop and field environments
