4/10s, Monday–Thursday Job Type: Contract to Hire Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Pipe fitters for commercial and industrial projects in Charleston, SC. This position is ideal for skilled pipe fitters looking for steady work on a Monday–Thursday schedule with the potential for long-term employment. Responsibilities include installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems on commercial and industrial projects. Pipe fitters will layout and fit pipe according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.

They will cut, thread, bevel, and prepare pipe for installation, install valves, fittings, supports, and related piping components, read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping layouts, perform quality checks to ensure proper fit and installation, follow all jobsite safety procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Requirements include proven commercial or industrial pipe fitting experience, ability to read and interpret blueprints and piping drawings, experience with various pipe, fittings, valves, and related components, ability to use common pipe fitting tools and equipment, reliable transportation and dependable attendance, must be able to pass a drug screen and background check, and ability to work 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday.
