SUMMARY

Total Comfort Solutions is actively looking for Commercial HVAC Service Technician with 5+ years of experience to join a great team that delivers exceptional customer service. You will be drawing upon your troubleshooting experience to provide quality dedicated service to our TCS clients while living out our TCS Core Values.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair HVAC equipment ina timelyand quality manner.
  • Continued technical training (classroom, OJT and personal studies) in order to meet the responsibilities of a technician . This will bemonitoredand discussed during each review for improvement.
  • Demonstrate capability of handling a heavy workload of calls.
  • Maintaina high levelof professionalism by arrivingatwork on time,maintaininga neat physical appearance and work vehicle in clean working order.
  • Present a professional,positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers andco-workers.
  • Organize all work details(work performed, service recommendations, purchase order numbers for materialpurchased, etc.) and complete an accuratework ticket for billing & payrollpurposes.
  • Submitaccurateand complete Start-up Sheetsin a timely manner.
  • Submitaccurateand complete Refrigerant Tracking Logsin a timely manner.
  • Promote new business by reportingleads.
  • Exercise effective communication with the customer and co-workers by using the LINC Communication Model
  • Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outsidecontacts.
  • Fullyutilizetechnology to enhance performance (email, internet usage,VB Mobile)
  • Work with other Technicians by sharing knowledge and experience. This could be ofa technical nature or specific issues related to the facility.
  • Demonstrate the Total Comfort Solutions valuesdaily.
  • Ability to mentor apprentice level technicians
  • Service Technician will continue the on-call rotation and will be available nights and weekends on the weeks he pulls on-call. Project Technician will continue to work nights and weekends as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Two-Year Technical Degree or 4 – year apprenticeship from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 3 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Will have available the tools necessary to accomplish the work of a Service Technician.
  • Use proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting.
  • Extensive knowledgeofsafe work habits.
  • Experience with managing agreements and quoted jobs to the margins and standards at which they were sold.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations asrequiredfor contract requirements.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Industry-specific knowledge gained from working in the field:

  • Knowledge/experience using a vacuum pump and micron gauge.
  • Knowledge/experienceproperly usinga recovery machine.
  • Knowledge/experience using an electronic leak detector.
  • Knowledge/experience using a voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter.
  • Use proper refrigerant charging techniques including superheat and subcooling.
