Comp: $100K to $135K

Our client company is a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, providing innovative and efficient solutions for [freight, passenger, or delivery services]. We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee and optimize our transportation operations.

The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing the daily operations, strategic planning, and overall efficiency of our transportation network. This role requires a strong leader with deep industry knowledge, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to drive operational excellence. We are looking for a dynamic leader!

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance transportation operations.
  • Oversee fleet management, route optimization, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and staff.
  • Manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Improve safety standards and implement risk management strategies.
  • Utilize data analytics to improve efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with fleet management, dispatch operations, and supply chain logistics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
  • Background in business development and operations preferred
