Forklift Operator​/Load Builder

Contract Lumber, a leading building materials supplier, is seeking a full-time Forklift Operator/Load Builder to support our wholesale lumber operations. In this role, you'll safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and stage lumber and building materials for home builder and contractor deliveries. Responsibilities include building accurate loads to spec, checking orders, maintaining a clean and organized yard, and following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage lumber and building materials
• Build accurate loads according to pick tickets and delivery requirements
• Inspect, secure, and stack materials to prevent damage and ensure safe transport
• Assist with receiving, counting, and organizing incoming inventory
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe yard and warehouse work area
• Perform basic daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams to meet schedules
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and material handling procedures
• Support general warehouse tasks and other duties as assigned
