Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM |
Pay: $20/hr |
Location: Onsite Charleston, WV.
We are seeking five Accounting Specialists to support the accounting team with day‑to‑day operations, system cleanup, and project‑based work. This role focuses heavily on Oracle ERP, reconciliation, and general ledger support, helping maintain accurate financial records and working on primarily reconciliation and ledger tasks.
Open to candidates with bookkeeping, AP/AR, or general accounting experience, as well as recent graduates with an accounting degree.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, and ledger entries.
- Perform data entry and system cleanup in Oracle ERP.
- Review transactions to ensure accurate ledger posting.
- Reconcile data from multiple system areas and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with reconciliation of short pays, freight charges, and fixed assets.
- Analyze account balances and support reconciliation efforts.
- Experience with surcharges, freight, and fixed assets (preferred).
- General accounting and operational support experience.
- Entry‑level candidates and recent graduates accepted.
- Internship, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or general accounting experience is a plus.
- Oracle ERP experience preferred.
- Strong interest in developing hands‑on accounting skills.
