Description & Requirements

Are you an accounting student striving for CPA eligibility and looking for a full‑time opportunity in Tax? At Forvis Mazars, you can use your critical thinking to solve client problems and your social skills to build rewarding business relationships. You will work with clients from a variety of industries, develop technical skills, and strengthen the foundation for your career.

You will be coached by experienced staff and management. As your skill set grows, you will assume greater responsibility and actively participate in determining your career path.

• Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
• Calculate tax extensions or estimate payments
• Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

• Effective time management

• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently

• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines

• Associate positions require a bachelor’s degree
• Must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
• Must achieve a minimum grade of C or higher in job‑relevant coursework
• Must achieve a minimum grade of C or higher in intermediate accounting
• Candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. State by the start date of the role
• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and attend off‑site meetings and events in person

• Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
