The Accountant/Auditor 4 position is located in the Office of Shared Administration within West Virginia state government, based in Charleston. The role leads the Division of Cost Allocation and is responsible for preparing the human services administrative cost distribution report, analyzing financial data from multiple bureaus, and maintaining cost allocation plans and indirect cost rate proposals. This is a full-time, permanent classified-exempt position reporting to the Director of the Division of Cost Allocation.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hours in accounting
- Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in professional accounting, auditing, or directly related accounting work
- Master's degree in accounting may substitute for two (2) years of required experience
- Certification or registration as a Public Accountant in West Virginia may substitute for training and two (2) years of experience
- Preference given to applicants holding CFE, CFA, CVA, or graduate certificate in forensic accounting and fraud investigation
