Nature of Work
Under general supervision, at the full-performance level, relieves supervisor of clerical and minor administrative duties. Manages seminar registrations, updates and compiles manuals for division training seminars. Determines seminar materials used and reports to supervisor for cost estimates. Reviews seminar customer survey responses, and compiles report summary for management. Compiles article submissions and collaborates with Communications Staff to ensure timely publication of newsletter.
Maintains division filing systems and division database. Responsible for forwarding boil water notice emails and alerts to staff. Opens, dates and distributes mail. Monitors office supplies. Provides backup and support to the division's Administrative Secretary. Composes routine correspondence for director as needed. Applies discretion and tact in completion of assignments and contacts with others and judgment to determine inquiries or matters that should be referred.
May represent division in special project meetings. Performance of other related duties may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training:
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience:
Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing clerical duties at the Office Assistant 2 level, including typing, which must have included screening and routing telephone calls and correspondence, and composing routine correspondence.
Substitution:
College hours or related business school or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for up to two years of the required experience.

Special salary range for the Public Service Commission:
The Public Service Commission has established a salary range of $37,492 to $59,285 for this classification.
