Transportation DMV Specialist - Kanawha

The Transportation DMV Specialist 1 in this position reports to the Clearing House Division of the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles in Kanawha County. Under general supervision, performs full-performance level clerical work assisting customers, answering inquiries, and providing information pertaining to the services provided by the WV Division of Motor Vehicles. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures.

Performs related work as required.

• Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent

• One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, sales, cashiering or related public contact work.
• Substitution:
  College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
