About The PositionTo strengthen our construction team, we are looking for a Scaffolding Assistant to support the preparation, logistics, and safe execution of scaffolding activities.
You will work under the supervision of qualified scaffolders and support the availability of safe access to the various work fronts.
Your Responsibilities- Assisting with the supply, sorting, movement, and preparation of scaffolding material.
- Supporting the assembly, modification, and disassembly of scaffolding under the supervision of qualified scaffolders.
- Preparing, keeping clear, and correctly demarcating work zones according to site procedures.
- Visually checking that materials are in good condition and immediately reporting any deviations.
- Coordinating with construction teams regarding priority scaffolding needs and access points.
- Maintaining order and cleanliness around scaffolding zones and correctly storing materials.
- Strictly applying rules for working at height, fall protection, LMRA, and site safety.
- Do not independently release or inspect scaffolding unless you are demonstrably qualified to do so.
- You are practical-minded, physically fit, and comfortable working at height.
- You are safety-conscious and willing to strictly follow instructions from experienced technicians.
- Experience with industrial scaffolding, preferably Layher or similar system scaffolding, is an advantage.
- You work well in a team and are reliable in an environment with changing priorities.
- Basic knowledge of Dutch or English is necessary for safe communication.
Education: No specific diploma required
Experience: Experience in scaffolding or on an industrial site is an asset.
Certificates & site requirements- Valid Basic VCA certificate required or to be obtained before starting.
- Training for working at height is highly desirable.
- Scaffolding proficiency certificate is an advantage, but not a requirement for an assistant role.
