Job Overview

Employment Programs Interviewer 1 – Harrison County at Work Force WV. This position is in the Field Operations unit located in the Clarksburg local office. The role involves interviewing customers to obtain information related to unemployment benefits or job placement, performing data entry, and referring job seekers to available positions and partner agencies. The interviewer also works with employers to encourage posting of job openings, verifies hires, processes job orders, and follows agency policies and procedures.

• Interview customers and employers to gather eligibility and job placement information
• Enter and manage data accurately in system databases
• Provide referrals to partner agencies for services such as transportation, training, and other support
• Assist job seekers with job search and placement, including listing of available jobs
• Follow up with employers on job orders and verify hires
• Respond to phone calls and inquiries from customers and employers
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid employment
• Or successful full‑time or equivalent part‑time study from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at a rate of thirty (30) semester hours for every one (1) year of required experience. Vocational school training may be substituted at a rate of 1,080 clock hours for every one (1) year of required experience.
