Locum Tenens Radiologist – Night Shift (Remote / Teleradiology)

Position Type:  Locum tenens (travel contract)

Setting:  Remote diagnostic radiology covering ER and inpatient reads (some outpatient exams as needed)

Start Date:

March 23, 2026

Contract Duration:  13 weeks

Shift:  Nights, Friday–Monday, 12pm–8pm (8-hour evening shifts)

Hours per Week:  40

Estimated Weekly Pay:  $7,000–$7,500 (competitive locum tenens pay)

Modalities:  X-ray (XR), CT, MRI (MR), Ultrasound (US), Nuclear Medicine (NM)

Case Mix:  ~80% ER, 5% MSK, 5% Neuro, 5% Nuclear Medicine

Daily Volume:  90–100 studies per 8-hour shift

Job Requirements

Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required)

Active West Virginia medical license (required)

DEA registration (required)

Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)

Comfortable with high-volume ER and inpatient reads, including stroke imaging and trauma protocols

Responsibilities

Provide timely, high-quality interpretations for emergency, inpatient, and select outpatient imaging studies

Interpret a variety of modalities including XR, CT, MR, US, and NM in a teleradiology / remote radiology setting

Prioritize and triage emergent cases, including stroke protocols and trauma imaging

Communicate critical findings promptly to on-site clinical teams and support rapid patient care decisions

Maintain accurate documentation and meet established productivity and quality standards

Collaborate with on-site clinicians, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care
