Multi Schools [Roane County High School, Spencer Middle School, Spencer Elementary School (Home school)]

Minimal qualifications will include a BA degree and valid West Virginia Teaching Certification endorsed in Wellness PK-Adult, or Physical Education PK-Adult and Health PK-Adult to commensurate with the assignment. Applicants must possess the ability to successfully manage an instructional program for high school, middle school, Elementary School
-aged students.

• Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning
• Develop instructional plans and organize class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time
• Instruct pupils in subject areas as specified in state law, curricula, and guidelinesestablishedby the local board of education and administrative regulations
• Provide individual and small group instruction whenever appropriate
• Adapt curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual and special abilities
• Establish andmaintainstandards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive environment
• Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day, as required
• Evaluate each pupil's performance and growth in knowledge and understanding; monitor progress toward learning outcomes; prepare progress reports
• Communicate with parents and school counselors on pupil progress; promote positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships
• Maintain basic attendance accounting and business services, as required
• Serve as a resource person on interdepartmental level
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local educational policies
• Perform all other duties as assigned, according to need, by the school principal and/or superintendent.

Salary based on experience and education level per Roane County salary schedule. Expected range: $42,880 (0 years + Bachelor's) - $75,219 (35 years + Doctorate).

Performance in this position will be evaluated by the building principal/immediate supervisor and in accordance with WV State Code 18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310, and RCS Policy 550, Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
