Job Description & How to Apply Below

Determined, imaginative, curious-if these are some of the ways you describe yourself, we want to learn more about you!

At TC Energy, we are proud to connect the world to the energy it needs. Guided by our values of safety in every step, personal accountability, one team and active learning, we deliver the critical energy that North America and the world rely on while balancing reliability, affordability and sustainability.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to steward the integrity, performance, and capacity of our company‑operated underground natural gas storage assets. As part of Gas Storage-Reservoir Engineering and Geosciences, you'll lead technical studies, provide expert guidance on reservoir and well integrity, and drive asset reliability through independent technical judgment, cross‑functional influence, and leadership of complex work packages in a regulated environment.

* Eligible for domestic relocation only, no cross-border

What You’ll Do
  • Steward reservoir performance and integrity across assigned storage fields by planning and interpreting shut‑in and flow tests, maintaining pressure/volume and back pressure relationships, verifying stored gas inventory, and generating field deliverability and capacity forecasts that inform seasonal operating plans.

  • Lead integrity assessments and risk management by owning and updating Reservoir/Well Risk Management Plans (RMPs), integrating casing, cement, and completion condition data, and recommending mitigations (workovers, stimulation, operating envelope adjustments) aligned with RE&G standards.

  • Interface with regulators and internal audits by providing technical evidence during assessments, contributing to standards and procedures, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation and record retention.

  • Plan, oversee, and interpret well surveillance (pressure transient tests, deliverability tests, fluid sampling) and translate results into actionable guidance for Field Operations and Commercial Operations.

  • Provide technical governance for well integrity programs (casing inspection, MAASP verification, cement evaluation) by ensuring results are analyzed, documented, and incorporated into integrity tracking systems and the Storage Data Centre.

  • Collaborate with Well Engineering & Technology (WET) on job planning and post‑job performance evaluation (workovers, stimulations, plug/abandon) to ensure designs protect reservoir/well integrity and meet regulatory and internal standards.

  • Champion data quality and digital workflows (Peloton Well View/Rig View, schematic/data cleanup, performance and integrity analytics reporting) to strengthen decision‑making and compliance records.

  • Mentor engineers and lead peer reviews, building team capability in storage‑specific reservoir engineering, testing, and integrity evaluation (Level 4 behaviors expected).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Geological Engineering, or related discipline
  • 6+ years of relevant engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in gas storage reservoir/well performance analysis and integrity assessment
  • Proficiency in well testing and analysis, material balance/volumetrics, deliverability modeling, and translating results into operating envelopes and commercial guidance
  • Experience working under formal integrity programs and procedures (SIMP, reservoir/well integrity standards, casing inspection programs) with a track record of producing defensible, auditable work products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven cross‑functional collaboration experience (Operations, Commercial Operations, WET, Legal/Regulatory)
  • Ability to manage rapidly shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Availability for extended work hours as needed
  • Willingness to travel to company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training (including overnight stays)

To remain competitive, support our high‑performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office‑based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and…
