Support Monarch delivery leadership by managing project controls across schedule, cost, forecasting, and performance reporting. This role works closely with the Chief Delivery Officer, EPC partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain an integrated master schedule and provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and budget outcomes.
The Project Controls Specialist brings disciplined planning and analytical rigor to ensure leadership can make timely, informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule, including critical path analysis and look‑ahead planning.
- Track progress against milestones; produce weekly and monthly reporting dashboards and variance explanations.
- Support cost tracking, forecasting, and change management in coordination with finance and delivery teams.
- Maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, change orders, and key decisions; ensure controls are audit‑ready.
- Support earned value or progress measurement methodologies as applicable to EPC reporting.
- Coordinate schedule updates and progress inputs with EPC teams and major vendors.
- Identify schedule and cost risks early and support mitigation planning with delivery leadership.
- Prepare materials for executive reviews and customer‑facing reporting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project controls experience on large construction or infrastructure projects (power or industrial preferred).
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling tools; strong Excel skills.
- Experience with change management, forecasting, and performance reporting in EPC environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Ability to be based in Charleston, WV with periodic travel to Point Pleasant as needed.
