Triton Construction, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated individual for a Project Engineer position at our Huntington Waste Water Treatment Plant project.

We are currently leading a $196 million turnkey rehabilitation of the Huntington Wastewater Treatment Plant
, a five- to six-year project that includes:
- Construction of new structures and rehabilitation of existing ones
- Underground and above-ground piping
- All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work
- Addition of new equipment and replacement of outdated systems
The Project Engineer supports Project Managers and field teams in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role manages documentation, facilitates communication, ensures contract compliance, and helps deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Manager with day-to-day operations.
- Review and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Maintain project logs, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- Support scheduling and monitor critical path items.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and invoice review.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure accurate project documentation and archiving.
- Promote safety, quality, and compliance across all phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of construction/engineering experience preferred (internships considered).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (Oracle, MS Project) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong team player and collaborator.
- Based at project sites.
- Travel to project locations may be required.
