Transportation Roadway Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Roadway Designer.

This role will sit in our Charleston, WV office.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design
• Developing and reviewing plan sets, quantity estimates and associated documents
• A valid license and some travel will be required

The successful candidate will have all of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university AND at least two years of relevant work experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

• Micro Station and ORD software
• WVDOH and municipal roadway design projects
• WVDOH experience, including Design Directives and Standard Specifications
• MS Office including Project
• Have successfully passed FE exam and have the ability to obtain a WV PE as soon as practical

Strong communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team are highly valued.
