Stantec is seeking a mid-level Project Engineer, Roadway to join our Mid-Atlantic team. This position is advertised for the Charleston, WV or Bridgeport, WV offices. YourKey Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams and communicate technical concepts effectively to achieve client expectations and project goals.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and completing projects, ensuring effective application of scope requirements, management of time, quality reviews, and effective communications with team members.
- Proficient use of Micro Station V8i, Open Roads
- Ability to use or familiarity with Auto Cad is a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience and knowledge of AASHTO and WVDOH and/or VDOT design directives and specifications
- Experience and knowledge of WVDOH and/or VDOT roadway and right of way deliverables
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of four (4) years of transportation design experience
- West Virginia Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration or ability to obtain P.E. within 1 year required
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
