Position Summary
Performs assignments that require application of engineering education, training, or experience and special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences. Assignments are designed to further develop the incumbent’s job knowledge and abilities. Applies engineering principles in the discipline of competency, demonstrating a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities. Performs detailed phases of design engineering work for projects of moderate size/complexity in one discipline and keeps supervisor informed of progress.
Responsibilities- Candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen
- Prepares advanced specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
- Visits vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements and visits job sites to evaluate site, project requirements, and condition.
- Mentors less experienced engineers, designers, and drafters; supervises design personnel and other staff specialists; participates in sales presentations.
- Determines client requirements and develops specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
- Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions; prepares bid tabulations on simple purchases; reviews vendor drawings for major components.
- Develops a focus on least cost, safe design and actively involved in maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects.
- Meets company quality assurance requirements.
- Supports field assignments as required.
- 11‑15 years of experience related to oil, gas, or petrochemicals.
- Professional Engineering license.
- BS in Engineering (or higher) from an ABET accredited institution. Preferred:
Master’s degree or higher.
