Our Client is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a rich resume of project success all throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
PositionWe are looking for a Water Resources Engineer to work in a Project Manager capacity in our Charleston, WV office location. Our Engineers have the opportunity to design projects in cities and municipalities where our designs make an impact.
Responsibilities- Evaluate existing service area utility assets and develop corresponding recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement
- Provide support in the design of the rehabilitation and/or replacement of water lines and sanitary sewer lines
- Monitor performance and adherence to plans and specifications during the construction phase. Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders.
- Coordinate and assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternative analyses, and other technical deliverables
- Identify future projects/opportunities, services, and client needs.
- Ensure project communication between team members and clients.
- Make formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, the public and regulatory agencies.
- Attend networking events, trade shows and technical conferences for business development purposes.
- Build client relationships through project delivery.
- Incorporate engineering considerations into water and wastewater system designs, including pump selection, valve sizing, and mechanical equipment layout.
- Support troubleshooting and performance evaluation of mechanical systems during construction and commissioning phases.
- BS in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer Certification, or the ability to obtain, is highly desired.
- Minimum of five years of experience.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Possess excellent leadership skills
- Possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Periodic travel will be required.
