Fayette, Clay, Nicholas and Kanawha Counties

• Conduct routine, complex, and special inspections.
• Train and instruct new employees in inspection techniques and procedures for investigations, surveys, and complaints.
• Take required actions based on inspection, test, and investigation results.
• Make recommendations for proper application of laws, rules, and regulations.
• Complete detailed inspection reports.
• Maintain records related to inspection schedules and results.
• Verify compliance with legal requirements such as licensing, record keeping, security, safety, sanitary conditions, and ACA regulation laws.
• Direct inmate contact and perform security post duties as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a closely related field, or equivalent coursework: 30 semester hours substitute for each year of required experience.
• Licensure and/or certification pertinent to the work performed.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
