Overview
The Division of Administrative Services, Justice and Community Service (DAS/JCS) seeks a candidate to fill an opening for a Criminal Justice Specialist 1 under close supervision of a program manager.
Responsibilities- One or more Federal or State Grant‑In‑Aid Programs including coordination with committees and related work groups.
- Assist in reviewing sub‑grant applications, reporting, and requirements for completeness, accuracy, and budget alignment.
- Assist in reviewing sub‑grant goals and objectives for a form of measurement and evaluation.
- On and off‑site reviewing of grant support activities, as required.
- Assist in providing technical assistance, support, and training to sub‑grantees as requested.
- Maintain current knowledge of State, Federal and Agency rules which govern the above‑mentioned programs.
- May attend national and state workshops and training on the above‑mentioned programs, and perform related tasks as required.
- Travel is involved, both in state and out of state for this position.
- Assist in the support of various committees and subcommittees.
- Supports grants award process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidate will be subject to a criminal history background check and must possess a valid West Virginia Driver's License. TrainingTraining: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to individuals possessing a major or minor in criminal justice, political science, social sciences, mathematics, statistics, planning, management or related field of study.
