Procurement Associate – Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail

Minimum Special Hiring Rate: $36,533.00

• Complete all purchasing operations for the Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail, including reviewing purchasing requests, determining availability, securing bids, and serving as contact person for vendors and shipping.
• Resolve problems, keep accurate records, reconcile P-cards, and pay bills in a timely manner.
• Follow all DCR purchasing guidelines and state financial regulations.
• Serve as backup for the inmate trustee clerk position, posting money and vouchers to inmate accounts and writing inmate checks.
• Perform other assigned duties and assist in security posts as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid clerical experience that includes purchasing supplies and maintaining inventory.
• OR a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.

This is a paid full-time position with a critical vacancy pay supplemental facility of $5,000 added to the minimum starting rate of pay. Annual base building pay differential of $250 is awarded after one year of service.
